1.INTRODUCTION
- These terms and conditions (“the Terms and Conditions”) are binding on all persons that access SAUCERIE (PTY) LTD (“SAUCERIE”) website, Facebook, Instagram, or WhatsApp pages (“the Websites”) without qualification or exception. By entering the Websites, the person accessing the Websites (“the User”) agrees to be bound by and shall be deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions, which the User acknowledges to have read and understood. If the User does not agree to any of the Terms and Conditions, the User may leave the Websites.
- SAUCERIE may from time to time amend these Terms and Conditions and other policies without notice to the User. The User’s continued use of these Websites shall constitute the User’s agreement to the amended Terms and Conditions.
2. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
- The Website is operated by SAUCERIE, and the User acknowledges that it is the proprietor of all intellectual property subsisting in, pertaining to or used on the Websites, including, without limitation, copyright, trademarks, patents, inventions, goodwill, and trade secrets (“the Intellectual Property”).
3. WEBSITE USE / COPYRIGHT
- The User may not, without SAUCERIE’s written prior consent, use, reproduce, adapt, distribute, publish or in any other way deal or interfere with the Intellectual Property or the Websites’ contents.
- The content of this website is subject to copyright protection. Reproduction of the content, or any part of it, other than for educational purposes or personal use, is prohibited without prior consent from SAUCERIE.
- The User shall not infect the Websites with viruses, worms, ‘trojan’ or any other code that has malicious, contaminating, or destructive properties nor shall the User damage, interfere with or intercept any data or information contained on the Websites.
- The User may not link to the Website nor share any of its content without SAUCERIE prior written consent.
- The information provided in this website is for general guidance or information purposes only. The information is not intended to constitute legal advice and you use it at your own risk and no content, information, statement, or opinion on these Websites should be construed as legal advice.
- SAUCERIE accepts no responsibility or liability for damages arising from the use of the information. If legal advice is required on any issue, you should contact us directly.

- SAUCERIE makes no warranties, whether express or implied, regarding the Websites, their contents, accuracy, or availability. Without limiting the aforesaid, SAUCERIE does not warrant that the Websites is free of viruses, worms, ‘trojan horses’ or any other code that has malicious, contaminating or destructive properties.
- The User assumes all responsibility and risk for the use of the Websites. SAUCERIE shall not be liable for any loss, injury, damage, cost, penalty, or claim resulting from the use of its Website, whether direct or indirect, and whether SAUCERIE has been advised of or has knowledge of the possibility of such loss, injury, damage, cost, penalty, or claim.
- The User hereby indemnifies SAUCERIE and holds it harmless against all liability, loss, damage, penalty, cost or claim of whatsoever nature suffered by any third party in relation to any act or omission by the User in relation to the Website and the use thereof by the User, and/or arising from the provisions of these Terms and Conditions.
5. PRIVACY POLICY
- Certain information regarding the User can be obtained automatically as the User navigates through the Website and other social platforms. This includes but is not necessarily limited to the User’s internet protocol address, internet browsing software and domain. This assists SAUCERIE to manage the Website and provide functionality.
- The User may provide SAUCERIE with the User’s personal information. The User consents to SAUCERIE using such information for the purpose for which it is disclosed and will not make it available to third parties without the User’s consent.
- The website makes use of “cookies” to automatically collect information and data through the standard operation of the Internet servers. “Cookies” are small text files a website can use (and which we may use) to recognise repeat users, facilitate the user’s on-going access to and use of a website. - SAUCERIE respects consumers’ constitutional rights to privacy and data protection. Accordingly, we believe in protecting the personal information we collect from you when you use the Website. SAUCERIE will use its best commercial endeavours to only use or disclose your personal information in the manner stated in this policy.
- This Notice explains how we obtain, use, and disclose your personal information, in accordance with the requirements of the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (“POPIA”/ “POPI Act”).
- At SAUCERIE (and including this website, POPI Act-Compliance) we are committed to protecting your privacy and to ensure that your personal information is collected and used properly, lawfully, and transparently.
- We collect and process your personal information mainly to contact you for the purposes of understanding your requirements and delivering products/services accordingly. For this purpose, we will collect contact details including your name and organisation.
- We collect information directly from you where you provide us with your personal details. Where possible, we will inform you what · Your order is finalised once the full payment reflects in our bank account or cash on delivery. This rule will not be made exception of.
- Payments is either EFT payment or cash.
- SAUCERIE‘s products contain chillies, fruits and nuts and other food-based allergens so be aware of the ingredients listed on the product.
- Changes or additions to orders must be made before the collection / delivery date.
- We are not Halal or Kosher certified.
- Please adhere to the storage instructions as listed on the product.
- Please do not hesitate to contact as at sales@saucerie.comfor information you are required to provide to us and what information is optional.
- Website usage information may be collected using “cookies” which allows us to collect standard internet visitor usage information.
7. TERMS OF SERVICE

8. REFUND POLICY
- Due to the nature of our products all refunds and credits will be processed in the form of a credit. All returns can be requested by email by submitting your request to sales@saucerie.comwithin 7 days of receiving your order.
- If you have received a damage item, we are so sorry to hear about it. We are here to help you to the best of our ability. We request that the damaged item be left unopened/unused and in its original retail packaging as proof of damage upon arrival. Please email us pictures of the damage, your order number, and your most current shipping address.
- Shipping charges are not refundable or credited.
- Customer neglect of products voids the credit and exchange policy.
9. SHIPPING POLICY
- Free deliveries in the Northern Suburbs, Cape Town on Fridays. Outlying areas deliveries and pickups to be arranged per order.
- We are working on shipment to the whole of South Africa.
- Please note that we are based in Welgemoed, Cape Town, and you are also more than welcome to pick up your order at SAUCERIE, or to organise a courier to collect it from us.
- Our premises are situated in a private residence; thus, clients are only permitted to collect orders by prior arrangement.
- Collection Times:
- Mondays to Fridays: 08:00 – 17:00; and
- Saturdays: As per arrangement.
- If you come and collect your order you accept all liability for the items collected and we cannot be held liable for damages once it leaves our premises. Please check collected/delivered items. We do take photos of all goods before collection and when delivered and thus have proof of the condition received / delivered.
10. GOVERNING LAW
- The Terms and Conditions and the User’s use of the Websites shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
